The Learning and Language Center at Calico, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit center dedicated to providing year-round early intervention speech, language, and occupational therapy, as well as academic readiness instruction to prepare young children for success in school. We teach low income, at risk, special needs, hearing-impaired, under-served, under-insured, and refugee children, ages 18 months to 6 years, the skills needed to fully participate on the same level as their peers when they go to school.

We provide kindergarten readiness, toddler groups, early intervention language groups, speech/language therapy, and occupational therapy. In addition to services, we also provide transportation to and from our center, translation/interpreting when needed, daily nutritious snacks/meals that consist of a fruit, whole grain, dairy, and protein, and diapers.

What we offer at The Learning and Language Center is truly unique and one-of-a-kind in our community. We take pride in the fact that the diverse environment we have created exposes young children to other cultures and teaches them to be caring and compassionate individuals in our community. We do what we do because it's what our community's children need.

Since 2013, we have led the effort to make sure the children in our community’s most vulnerable populations don’t fall through the cracks.
